Scholarship & Grant Winners!
Congratulations to the 2009 winners of the DLT scholarship and education grant program. Our $1,500 academic scholarship winner is Lucille Martin, a senior at Xenia High School, who plans to attend Ohio State University majoring in physical therapy. Our $500 education grant winner is Amanda Lilley, a senior at Fairborn High School, who plans to attend Muskingum College majoring in physical therapy. Awards to our 2009 winners will be made at the GermanFest Picnic opening ceremonies. The DLT scholarship/grant program is one of the benefits of membership.

Indoor Fest Halle Open Friday - Sunday! Extended Hours: Friday & Saturday until 11:00pm!

German Wine Tent
For those wine lovers - stop by the German Wine Tent featuring Schmitt Sohne's Riesling and Relax Red! Wine will be sold by the glass and the bottle.

New this year will be a Wine Tasting on Saturday, Aug 15th in the Roundhaus from 12pm to 2PM for $20 per person. Contact Carol Zahn at 937-830-1787 for more details and reservation information.

Visit the German Heritage Booth
The 2009 Culture Booth will feature Berlin and the 20th Anniversary of the "Fall of the Wall." If you have any Berlin souvenirs,wall fragments, etc. that you would be willing to lend us for the display, please contact Carl and Judy Schneider at 937-433-3451 or email Judy as soon as possible. The Culture Booth will be located in the indoor Bierhalle or Roundhouse. Stop in and visit!

Interested in your German Heritage? Be sure to stop in and meet some representatives from the DLT Genealogy Group. On-site computers with website genealogy support available. The Geneaology Group meets monthly with guest speakers and group discussions.

The Dayton Liederkranz is always looking for new members. Ask how YOU can join! Membership applications will be available.
