The 2014 Culture Booth focused on the 50th Anniversary of the Sister City relationship between Augsburg, Germany and Dayton. Thanks to those who lent items or supplied information for the display. Thanks, too, to all who entered our contest which asked for a specific location for the copy of the Roman Column donated by Augsburg to its Sister City, Dayton, in 1979. The most precise correct answer we received was from Mark, who answered, "On Courthouse Square, at the north-west corner of the Old Courthouse Building, at 3rd and Main Streets, Dayton, OH." Close runner-up was Melissa K., with N 39° 45.583 W 084° 11.000 - must be a geo-cacher! :-) And third place was Jeff D., who even drew a diagram! Runners up were selected by a drawing from all the other correct entries: Ron W., David S., Kathy O., Mark L., Dave T., Thomas L., Ron D., Frances M., and Ed R., Congratulations! Your prizes are large City of Augsburg Flags, compliments of the Augsburg Mayor's Office. Fly them proudly!
